Description: - A Victorian 18ct Gold 51.74cts amethyst mounted brooch. The large oval-shaped amethyst is set within a stylised foliate, octagonal-shaped border, in yellow gold. As was common for the period the brooch is unhallmarked, and tested, and confirmed to be 18ct gold fineness.

Measurement: - The brooch measure 3.7cm (height) x 4.4cm (length). 

Weight: - 17.2 grams / 0.55 troy ounces

Condition: - The brooch is in good antique condition. The brooch has minor surface scratches and marks commensurate with age. The amethyst has natural inclusions and zoning, and is in good condition. The pin and c clasp work perfectly. The pin is base metal. Gemstone treatment is unknown. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
